The series of “Kai Tan Le” cultural activities invite renowned artists, authors and scholars to introduce Suzhou featured culture, for XJTLU students and faculties to know more about Suzhou culture and facilitate the cultural merge and interaction. The series of “Kai Tan Le” cultural activities are hold two to three times every semester.
In the AY2016/2017 Semester 2, we held the Tenth Culture Talk on 22 March. Professor Xuefang LIANG was invited to share about the history and development of “Suzhou embroidery”. Also she provided on-the-spot embroidery teaching for XJTLU students and staff. The Eleventh Culture Talk will be held in May. Please expecting! On 29th March 2017, XJTLU Museum held the first museum narrators training. The student leader of museum narrrators Zhiming Mao and previous museum trainee Liwen Sha shared their working experiences in museum for new narrators. Meanwhile, the staff Yuzhu Jiang and Tingting Zhao introduced the museum from general and specific perspective separately. The second training will be organized on 19 April 2017.
On 26th April 2017, XJTLU Museum held the final museum new narrators training. It had two sessions which include the puzzles of the histroy and development of XJTLU and impromptu speech. We hope this kind of informal training course can motivate museum narrators’ learning interests and let them master new knowledge in an armonious atmosphere.
XJTLU Museum is collecting handwritten notes from all teachers and students, which may be the "most precious", "most memorable", "most special", and “most meaningful" during your study, work and life in XJTLU. All the shortlist notes will display on line and the participants can get a small gift. After solicitation, Museum would invite the above participants to join the Handwritten Notes Exhibition.
