Library Helps Students Bring Their Projects into Practice
Library Stair challenge is on-going from November 30th. The design of stair counter is by a 3rd year student from Environmental Science Department. Challenge is held by the library to encourage students to use the stairs rather than the elevator.
In addition, there is another project being held by a 3rd year student from environmental science department. The project is about saving energy in the library computer labs by encouraging students to switch the computer to sleep mode.

The Department and Student Association Held Exhibitions on the First Floor of the Library
Industrial design department successfully held the lamp exhibition on the library first floor from 24th November to 25th November. All the works were done by the students in IND 211 class. Pumpkin and flower exhibition were held on the 1st floor from 1st November to 3rd of November by the student art association.
Library is the place for connecting our communities, we welcome all kinds of student and staff works displayed on the library space. Library’s Practice of its New Concept
The XJTLU library won the first prize for Library Induction Education to freshman, which is organised by Jiangsu Academic Library and Information System Committee.
Our library induction education is practicing the new concept Be S.M.A.R.T. Be S.U.R.E and XJTLU five star education mode. The induction education is a user centered activity, and the goal is to help freshman transition from young-adult to a global citizen, from passive learners to active learners. This induction education will help students find out accurate and trustful information quickly, and finally this skill will impact students on their success.
The Library User and Book Circulation Statistics from September to November 2016
In 2016, there were 218,957 users who entered the library between September and November. The number of users entering the library from September till November was 309,651, which is a 41.4% increase YOY. In addition, 39,721 books were circulated by students from September to November; most of the books circulated were from P (Language and Literature) Q (Science) H (Social Science) T (Technology). As the heart of campus life, the XJTLU Library hosts more and more visitors each year, Every day, students, staff, alumni and other XJTLU partners access the Library for intellectual and cultural engagement. XJTLU Library physical space and digital services together provide the environment, resources, and support needed for learning teaching and research.
