Textbook Division finished 2017-2018 AY S2 textbook distribution work
In 2016-2017S2, TPD purchased 461categories, 72,429 copies of textbooks in total; served 9,003 students, 136 tutors for one-to-one textbook service.
Textbook Distribution and Desk Copy Retrieval
At the beginning of the semester, textbook and publication team launched two sections of textbook distribution: for returning students and freshmen. The library offered customized textbook collection service by textbook management system for each individual. In total, we distributed 75,461 textbooks, which involved 197 modules, to 9,595 students.
The library also sorted out textbooks arrival status and notified library liaison officers one week before new semester began. In total, 162 module leaders collected a free desk copy (essential textbook) from Textbook Service Center.
The library's textbook service has gained praise for high performance from students and lecturers, and we will endeavor to further improve the service to ensure the smooth teaching and learning activities.
