University Library Contributes to International Open Access Week
The “Open Access in Action 2016” conference was held at Xi’an Jiao tong-Liverpool University on 24th Oct and focused on the topic “Open in action: sharing from practitioners, librarians, publishers and researchers”.
The conference, organized by XJTLU library, aimed to increase recognition and awareness of open access within China and also provide a platform for practitioners, librarians, publishers and researchers from different areas and disciplines to share their opinions and understanding of open access.
JALIS Annual Conference
The Resources Development in Internet+ Era - the Annual Conference of Committee of Resources Development of Jiangsu Academic Library and Information System (JALIS) was held at XJTLU during Nov 9-11th, 2016. 110+ library representatives from over 70+ universities in Jiangsu province, as well as 30+ information providers participated in the conference. Focusing on resources development in academic libraries, participants enjoyed diverse activities including keynote speeches and symposiums. The event promoted XJTLU Library’s engagement in the membership of JALIS, as well as the recognition of the university and its library.
