XJTLU Library offers "Inter-Branch Book Delivery" service between Libraries in Central Building, North Campus and XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang), so as to meet users' needs of diverse library collections, realize resource sharing between two locations and fully utilize the existing literature resources.
If all copies of the item you want to borrow are not available or they've been checked out by others at your campus, while the item at the other campus is in the status of "in stock",or the item you need is from “Restricted Resources”, then you can use the “Inter-Branch Delivery” function in the Library Catalogue System to request the item.
1. The Inter-Branch Book Delivery request is valid for 7 days. You will receive an email notification for request cancellation if the requested item(s) cannot be found.
2. A reminder will be sent to you when the requested item(s) is/are ready for collection. Please go to the Library Circulation Desk at the selected pickup location to check it out within 7 days. Otherwise, the Inter-Branch Book Delivery request will be automatically cancelled. Please note that failure to pick up the requested items for 3 times would result in temporary suspension of your Inter-Branch Book Delivery service privilege for 30 days.
3. Inter-Branch Delivery items must be checked out at the Library Circulation Desk in the pickup location.
4. Inter-Branch Delivery items can be returned at the Library Circulation Desk either in Library in Central Building, North Campus or XJTLU Library in XEC. Please DO NOT use self-service machines, except the 24-Hour Easy Return Machine at the entrance of XJTLU Library in XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang).
1. Login to the Library Catalogue System at https://opac.xjtlu.edu.cn using your XJTLU username and password.
2. Click “Search” and search the item by title, author, call number or ISBN, etc.
3. Click on your desired item in the search results to check its detailed information.
4. Click "Inter-Branch Delivery" at the detail page of the item.
5. Click “Action” after viewing the “Pickup Circulation Desk”, and then click the “Submit” button.
6. The message “Request successfully! You can check the processing status in ‘My Library’.” will be displayed if the request is successful.
1. Login at “My Library” in the Library Catalogue System via https://opac.xjtlu.edu.cn using your XJTLU username and password.
2. Click “Inter-Branch Delivery” on the left side of the “My Library” page.
3. Select the requested item(s) you want to cancel, and click the “Cancel” button.
