Textbook Posting Service and On-site Collection for 2019/20 S2

In this very challenging time under covid-19, the University Library emergently adjusted textbook distribution plan. In order to support online teaching and meet students’ demands of getting printed textbooks more promptly, the University Library has provided two methods of textbook collections after approval of the University: Textbook Posting Service and On-site Collection.

1) Textbook Posting Service The Library has started student textbook request and private mailing address collection on WeChat mini program since April 15th. Till now, after sorting out the needs of the students, Library staff printed student collected textbook list, located, packed, checked and delivered student textbook packages to 4893 students.

2) On-site Textbook Collection The Library offered on- site textbook collection from 18th to 30th, April. For students who were approved to temporarily return to campus, they can collect textbooks on-site while returning. To provide a safe textbook on-site collection, The Library staff took student temperature inspection, checked student green Sukang code and locations in the last 14 days before students’ entering the Textbook Service Center to collect textbooks by themselves. 1432 students collected their textbook on site.

Textbook Division completed Textbook Fee Settlement of 2019-2020 Academic Year

Textbook Division completed Textbook Fee Settlement of 2019-2020 Academic Year for XJTLU students (except IMBA students, PG and exchange students who left XJTLU in December, 2019). For this academic year, 11080 students’ textbook fee was settled and updated to Service Charge System by 26th June, 2020. For AY2019/20 S1, the textbook fee settlement follows university textbook policy. Students should pay for their Mandatory Textbooks, collected Optional Textbooks and calculators from Service Charge Account. For AY2019/20 S2, due to the impact of covid-19, considering that students cannot return to campus, students are charged only according to their collected items. Textbook division coped with 334 students’ textbook fee enquiry via e-mail and phone during 19th and 30th June, 2020.
