Welcome to the LibGuide for Library Committee!
Library committees are a fairly common entity in the world of libraries, and can be found in various configurations. Committees have been described as “a specialized structure designed to allow people to exchange ideas under constraints of time”. Committees also have been regarded as a tool of library management for library leaders and other librarians to have an idea of what they can accomplish and when they might advantageously be put in place. For the most part, committees in academic libraries tend to address specific questions, or are formed for a particular purpose.
